Music: New Found Artistic Respect & Motivation

Updated: Nov 8, 2019

Madonna

I don't normally listen to Madonna, nothing bad to say, I'm just a hard rock chick more into Kittie, In This Moment, Halestorm, etc... Today, however I found a new appreciation for her. I was so moved by these two videos (below) I just had to share them. I was so touched by how much she cares about humanity and art, and how much of a rough start she had after moving to New York before becoming the phenom she is today, it really put my struggles and goals into perspective. It made me feel like I wasn't alone, there is someone out there who's struggled harder to do what she loves, and isn't afraid to break down walls and 'norms' to do it.

This first video is about a new artistic revolution, a revolution against the hate and segregation our world is facing. Against confining ourselves into other people's judgments and beliefs. As it says on the website, it is "a global initiative encouraging creative expression that brings awareness to human rights violations." Watch it Now! Then learn more at http://artforfreedom.com/

This second video is Madonna's full speech after receiving Woman of the Year at Billboard Women in Music 2016. She talks about the struggles of being a woman in a male-centered world. It is a painful tale, it is tearful, it is uplifting, comforting and real and most of all, human. It is a must watch for any woman looking to become her best, bad-ass self. WATCH IT :D
